Dear Mr. Carter:

I am applying for a position on The Blackville Talon to work on the “Kids Korner” and the “Middle School Viewpoint”. You should select me because I have experience with children and I get along with them well.
I am writing because I am told there are positions open to work on The Blackville Talon.
I feel you should choose me because children have always been a big part of my life. Also, I love to interview people and do research to find out other people’s opinions. I have experience as a Sunday school teacher which will be very helpful when working with people younger than me.
